@mumsfoodies: @mumsfoodies and @jarlsberg_ are making pastries 🧀 AD 1 x sheet puff pastry Chive pesto 1 x pack @jarlsberg_ sliced cheese 10 x pieces Sun dried tomatoes Chive pesto: In the processor or hand blender blend: (Give it a mix once or twice during blending) 30g x Chives (approx 1/2 cup) 30g Basil (approx 1 cup) 2 x garlic cloves 1/2 x lemon juiced 1/2 x cup grated Parmesan 2 to 3 Tbs of pine nuts 1/2 cup olive oil to start Salt and pepper to taste You won’t need all of it, the rest can be storied in the fridge for up to 3 days and it’s wonderful with some nice pasta Toppings: 1 x egg yolk Sesame seeds Hot honey (2 x tbs honey mixed with some chilli flakes and microwaved for 15 seconds) Method: Make your pesto, you can buy it or use basil pesto but the chive works so well with the nutty Jarlsberg flavour. Preheat your oven to 180C and add parchment paper to an oven dish Chop your sun dried tomatoes into small pieces. Cut your pastry in half horizontally, spread some pesto and then using the whole pack of Jarlsberg cheese evenly spread the slices over the pesto, sprinkle the tomatoes over and season with salt and pepper. Cover with the other half of the pastry, brush egg yolk all over and using a pizza cutter slice into triangles but cutting a cross and then diagonally as shown in the reel. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake for 35-40 min, don’t be tempted to take it out before even if the top looks golden, hang tight for a flakier bake. While it’s in the oven prepare your hot honey and drizzle or brush over as soon as the pastry comes out of the oven. Enjoy hot or cold D 🫶 #fyp #cheesepull #pastry #EasyRecipe
