when my son was in a severe bipolar crisis I called 111 op 2. they sent an ambulance and the police. he was held and guarded in A&E until a MH unit had space for him. they were actually brilliant 👏

if ever you have had the misfortune of using this service you will know its not fit for purpose and a scripted service! I am not sure how they will assist someone with a MH crisis as MH are broken !

Ive done this before. They told me to walk myself to A&E at 3am. I did. When i got there, They sent me away with some leaflets...

So they'll fob you off to the GP, can't get an appointment, wait till they close, call 111 again, they suggest A+E, wait 14 hours, they say they can't do anything cause your symptoms aren't severe for a section, suggest calling 111 and the vicious cycle begins tomorrow until you have enough and snap.. then you resort to more severe means, get sectioned, 4 years later from being transferred up and down the country, you're let go feeling numb because you haven't received any support to begin with but can't go through that again 😂 joke of a system
