@bdccarpenter: Social media scams. Slightly scared to post this. Social media platforms, please don’t penalise me lol. Last week, a couple of you sent me an advert… of me. Yes, a video of mine appeared in an advert from a company I have NEVER heard of, promoting something I DO NOT endorse. As you can imagine, I don’t love this, so I reported it. As of now, this advert is still live. Many pages have impersonated me, reposted my videos, built sizable followings (one got up to 70,000 people lol) and then asked you to message them on other platforms. Make no mistake about it, these are people trying to scam you. It worries me that these pages apparently do not go against social media rules, and they are allowed to continue trying to scam you. Surely this isn’t right? Calling social media platforms to try and do better.
