If you think you're not going to be returning, for whatever life reason. It never hurts to tell your online friends. You never know how much you mean to others, or how much the friendship meant. the old times playing WoW, i got it when it was released almost 20 years ago, man that is a long time to be playing a game, i remember loging in and seeing the entire guild online, I have so many memories, but time passed and several left the game a few said good bye and others simply banished never to log in again, i'm still playing, not as often or as long as i use to

This happens all the time. My friends and I use to log in everyday, all types of games and one by one they all left. Most got married, had kids, some moved abroad and others just lost interest.
