Wow! Seized! That's a slippery slope. Tenants should've been given powers to withold rent and use it for repairs instead. Or fine him. And use money for repairs.

I think the council should do this to my mums landlady (she rents privately) and this landlord keeps on ignoring all of the issues the house has since 2015

So many councils don’t bother because they’re so broke they can’t afford to even investigate. Central government needs to fund councils properly!
