I mean this is kind of misleading, im all for taxing the rich but technically the income tax rate for millionaires is 40%. But yes their assets are not being properly taxed

It’s because most of their money comes from the interest from their investments which aren’t taxed. Imagine making millions of dollars a year just from interest AND it’s not taxed.

Total tax rate includes payroll tax, which is only first $110k or so. Sales tax. Which poor people have to spend to survive. And super rich just take low interest loans and capital gains instead.

I’m 44, when I got my first full time job. I got that check I was like “WTF”. My uncle a Vietnam vet laughing says “the more you make, the more they take” this should always be true. 👍

it is not 3.4% lmao, the top 1% of income earners in America make up 50% of US tax revenue. the top 10% of earners make up 90% of tax revenue.
