Also if you go to the midwest you see a lot of small houses that have had shed dormer additions and they all look kinda funky. Idk if it’s tax efficient but it certainly is a budget friendly add on.

It was the opposite in my town. They taxed based on the number of doors, so the old mansions have giant windows that go out to the balconies.
