even brown mascara will look dark from a distance, but it'll have a more subtle darkening effect on your lashes than black mascara will

If you don’t want colour on your lashes why not just use a clear one? That way you won’t have the dark colour that you don’t want?

hey! maybe theres some color theory going on! im not too knowledgeable in it but maybe it has something to do with the surrounding colors and hues that makes it appear darker! just a thought.

I think also, if you put black mascara on the other eye you CAN tell it’s brown because it isn’t black
