In the Army, medical personnel, while attached to infantry units, are still apart of the action force. As in, they will actively engage targets, until there is a need for a medic....

combat medics are known for Army, Airforce ( PJ'S parachute jumpers), and Navy which I think the Marines shares it with the Navy. 🤔

I was Corpsman w 3/8. carried Geneva convention card and a Beretta 9. Fun fact, if captured Corpsman not allowed to escape if there were any other allies still being held prisoner there..
