Hawks and owls can also take smaller dogs as well. It’s so sad. It happened to a friend of mine and her small yorkie.

I live in LA and there’s a lot of coyotes and mountain lions. My cats are always indoors unless on a leash with me outside. Would never let anyone watch them for fear of these situations 😭

This is sooo true. When we lived in CA we had coyotes make numerous attempts at killing our medium sized dogs!

Grew up in Calabasas and we have 12 foot fences the coyotes would jump. Lost a couple cats that got let out accidentally one to a hawk and the other a coyote

would those spike vests work? I think they are to protect from hawks but seems like they might work for coyotes too

I grew up in the country in the Midwest, coyotes are a huge problem. We lost many kittys to them. We were very careful but as we expand into rural areas, the problem gets worse.

I live next to a National Park in Arizona. I’m always on the lookout for Coyotes. They will lure the dogs back to the pack if they are loose.

There's lots of coyote here in AZ ...I would never leave a small dog out. I've seen fox here too... and birds of prey big enough to take a small dog. Keep those babies safe
