Have the nursery said what kind of ASN? if he goes to a LSCS unit in a mainstream school he will hopefully be able to integrate back into mainstream when he’s ready 🥰 best of both worlds xxx

Additional needs schools are brilliant, my sister used to be in a class of max 7 kids all through primary. Hard to come to terms with to begin with but it’s all for the best. 🤍

My lb was told no mainstream we deferred him a yr and he is now in P2 mainstream and thriving. He has autism and had speech delay. Follow your instincts mums know best!

My wee boy goes to a special needs school honestly it was the best place foe him he was completely nonverbal no communication still in nappies and now hes 8 can talk not have fully blown conversations

I have 4 boys that go to 4 different schools specialist placements. I was heartbroken but honestly it's the best thing ever they love their wee schools and flrm friendships with kiddies

My son junior is almost 17 and has been in a school for children with additional needs and he’s done great passed all his exams, don’t worry about it he will be well looked after and will thrive.

Been there with this one hen, it’s a lot to take in but He’s still the same wee boy regardless of what’s going on with school or if he receives a diagnosis. Scotland actually offer split placements

My son went to a special school as he has autism and adhd but it was ao much better than the mainstream as they called the polis cos he widny get out the car 😳 that was his last day there❤️❤️

Don’t mention keeping back a year, as that’s the cheaper option, fight for the asn provision, if it’s declined as hard to get a space then keep back a year
