My husband and I have had 2 accounts for 35 years, I paid off our house in 15 years instead of 30, he has always paid the rest. We have been debt free for 10 years. Free and clear at 50.

We had three accounts one time. The main one was for our bills and needs for the house and our family. Then we each had an account as an allowance for ourselves for hobbies/wants.
