I heavily believe it’s the bias of being female. We absorb most of the abuse but the trauma we experience or voice is never observed until we die from it. I hate to be dramatic but female pain, it’s overlooked.

My CPTSD overlaps a lot with hyperadrenergic POTS (which is by definition an overactive sympathetic nervous system). I get what you’re saying but worth looking into for additional treatment options

I have a question about PTSD and CPTSD. I was diagnosed with PTSD after years and years of being abused every single day for as long as I can remember, but CPTSD is having experience constant trauma sort of like that. I looked it up and PTSD can be multiple experiences. I need a little clarification about the differences between PTSD and CPTSD. Sorry if my wording is absolute trash.

YES! I’ve had to go to the ER several times recently because of my CPTSD! Now I’m trying to go onto disability. Also ongoing for over 22 years.

Yep!!! I was diagnosed with ibs and POTS. When I went to see a cardio electrophysiologist, I told her my history of trauma and she agreed that that’s where it came from. I am perfectly healthy other than those issues. My nervous system is shot

Acid reflux girlies rise up 🤪 a lot of trauma is stored in the gut. I have a hyperthyroid. I was always called ANO, nope just literally won’t process any food 😭

you sound exactly like me. it hit me like a train at 23. I have fibromyalgia, ibs, lupus, and hashimotos. All autoimmune. I also have CPTSD after 12 years of intense abuse 0-12. This is Hell.

How do psychologists just hand out the diagnoses that easily after seeing some symptoms. I’m having a whole “court” to try to prove my symptoms for bpd and maybe other to get my diagnose but I feel like they just ain’t getting me it. I feel like they don’t even look at symptoms and only wanna see my family’s history and traumas. Really hope they do their work good. I don’t trust it kinda.
