I’m 5 years into my relationship. I’ve had my period this week and this man set a timer to reheat my heat pack, wouldn’t let me move off the couch, cooked and cleaned up all my meals. When I asked him to “chill” cause I felt bad he told me that I would do the same for him, and questioned why I can’t accept the help that I’d do for anyone.

I completely agree with you! I’m in my first healthy relationship and any issues we have had we have worked through quickly and respectfully. It’s such a relief after what I’ve endured.

We have lowered the bar and we shouldn’t settle . Finding someone who gives you want you need is sometimes hard but worth it. I also think coming from a toxic one makes you appreciate it so much more
