@ayelestranero: I GOT TO INTERVIEW RAN TAKAHASHI 🤯 I still can’t believe this happened. A little backstory, I was having a slow morning in a coffee shop preparing my notes for an assigned coverage on that day in PVL when I suddenly received the news that I was being given the opportunity to interview Ran just right before my assigned game would start. I was in disbelief for a few minutes. Because, I already declined on what I thought was my only chance of seeing him up close. I got invited to a dinner where Ran would also be in but it did not fit my schedule and I was too shy (If you really know me you know how shy I could get especially on social gatherings) to say yes. But it’s crazy how the universe work. For a sports fan, a fan of japanese volleybal, a newbie in sports media, this was a craaaaaaazy experience. I’m not sure how I managed to speak and compose myself but Ran was so nice that it made me feel less nervous. The small talk before and after the actual interview will forever be engraved on my memory. It was a quick interview but it was an extremely special experience for me. I’m so grateful to my mentors and bosses in Cignal for this opportunity. 🥹 #sports #rantakahashi
