as an ex smoker I was always mortified at how inconsiderate other smokers were. at the bear minimum you make sure you're not in a crowded place and ask whoever you're with if they're okay with it smh

I 100% agree less places able to smoke or AT LEAST more secluded areare were it's away from dence areas is grate. the only thing is pubs are THE place for smokers so I think they can atlest have that

it's going to be pretty tough to enforce. will there be a perimeter around pubs you can't smoke in? will pubs be fined if they don't send staff across the road to stop people smoking there?

It’s already unappealing and unattractive. Making it harder for people to smoke will just cause more underground, more laced and worse products. They need to tackle WHY people smoke, not that they do.

I'm an ex smoker but why can't there be smoking rooms? like in airports, they have extractor fans & fresh air being pumped in if they're not outside.they take the taxes for them no prob n pull this?

I distinctly remember the day the original smoking ban was put in places and people insisted the pub industry would die off just like they are now 💀😂 I love that they're doing this, I have asthma

I only worry about it from a pub industry position & how it will affect an already struggling area, but people felt the same when they banned smoking indoors & that worked out so probably ungrounded.

Principle and practice are two different things though, countries such as Bhutan have implemented similar legislation, and the problem got worse. I don't have faith this will be enforced 1/2

I was a smoker and now I'm pregnant and obviously not smoking I've really noticed how difficult it is to avoid breathing in second hand smoke. I don't think smokers realise just how invasive it is

I think people felt the same way when pubs had smoking/non smoking areas inside but now it’s non smoking only indoors, now it’s normal. Not smoking in beer gardens will be normal soon too I think

Same girl smoking is soooo gross n ugly. Like there are literally 0 benefits to smoking, the only reason smoking isnt banned is cus the government makes too much money from it.
