I bought a 2000 Cadillac, with 35000 miles for $5000. It needed $6000 worth of repairs in the first year. Then it got stolen, and I only had liability.

I put 70k my 2001 chevy silverado in 4 years and went to the shop 10 times in that time period and spend around $10,000 total. I would've been smarter to have bought a truck for 10k more 4 years ago

My car payment is for my truck. I bought a Prius for $3k cash and it save three times the gas $$. I look goofy as hell driving it but I still have my truck. 🤣

No difference between a 300 a month payment with better gas mileage, than repairs worse gas mileage. It’s about the same and no headache with the payment

see now I drive a GMC with a 6.2. I have no payment on it, it gets 11MPG but I can't make the math work to have a gas sipper and a car note.

Prius is probably the most reliable car you could have. I don’t see what’s wrong with that if you pay it in cash and maybe get it used. I’m not a car or truck guy, I just like getting from A to B.
