this morning Echo prevented me from having an epileptic seizure in the shower. Echo picked up the scent through smells of shampoo and body wash. He alerted me and brought my towel. Echo found the correct rescue medication. There were multiple bottles on the counter and he had to decide which one was correct based on their markings we made and size. I was getting dizzy in the shower from a heart condition and it triggered my Epilepsy causing a seizure. I trained him to prioritize seizures over all else. He could have brought me medication for my heart condition but amongst both scents, he independently decided that the medication for seizures was more important. That is a huge win for a medical alert dog and I’m very proud of him. for working, for staying by my side, and for his loyalty #MedicalAlertDog #EpilepsyAwareness #ServiceDogHero #DogTraining #SeizureAlert
