@hafsahskitchen_: I AM AN APPLE CRUMBLE FAN FOR LIFE! Apple crumble Ingredients: Crumble mixture: - 360 grams butter - 360g caster sugar - 720g plain flour - 2 tsp cinnamon Apple mixture: - 6 red apples - 5 green apple - 3 tbsps butter - 1/4 caster sugar - 2 tbsp cinnamon (or less if you want) - Half a lemons juice - You will also need custard or ice cream to serve the crumble with Serves ~ 12 portions (A good rule of thumb is one apple per portion, so you can adjust the recipe accordingly to how many portions you need. It is important to note I like a lot of crumble with a little apple about 2/3 to 1/3 ratio respectively so if you want more apple than that then make more and if you want more crumble than that make more) Method: 1. Start by making your crumble. Measure out your flour and butter into a bowl. Then use your fingertips to crumble it together. 2. Once the mixture resembles breadcrumbs stir in your sugar and cinnamon. 3. Spread this out onto a baking tray. Use your spoon to spread this out evenly WITHOUT compressing the crumble! 4. Bake in an oven at 160 degrees until golden brown the timing for this will vary from oven to oven so start with 20 minutes then increase at 5 minute intervals as required. 5. Once your crumble has baked then break it up into a bowl ready for serving. 6. Next make the apple mixture. 7. Peel and chop your apples into 1/2 inch cubes. Add these into a pan along with your butter, sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice. 8. Cook your apples until soft but holding their shape. Be careful not to overcook them! 9. Layer you apple into a bowl, followed but the crumble and serve with piping hot custard, enjoy! The great way about making your crumble this way is that everyone can get as much crumble and apple as they like according to their preferences. #applecrumble #easydessertrecipe #hafsahskitchen
