These cool creatures, known for their flat bodies and long tails, are often misunderstood. They usually glide through the water peacefully, and most of the time, they’re totally harmless. But I get it—whenever people think of stingrays, they remember Steve Irwin. His tragic accident was a rare case, and it’s important to know that stingrays only sting when they feel threatened. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Being out on the sandbars, where the water is clear and shallow, we got up close with these gentle creatures.
