@traceysfancy: Was totally relaxed and all up in my thoughts about how much I love my work and how paint and a brush are like a sedative to me. 😁 Then with the slightest shift and placement of my bare left foot I felt a velvety squish against my skin. I tried to ignore it as if it didn’t happen if you notice a delay in the lifting of my foot to see. I think I knew and didn’t want to believe it. 😩 Listen…..I’m not a sissy. I love to camp. I love to hike. I go fishing. I bait my own hooks. I catch June bugs with my bare hands. I pick up Daddy long leg spiders. But I am deathly “go straight to heaven do not pass go do not collect money” afraid of roaches and I was just certain I had just placed my foot on one. 😳 By the grace of God, this was a beetle. And I’m instantly relieved but still freaked out which you can probably tell by the “no sound” coming out of my mouth and this shut down my painting session in the shop tonight. 🪲 No I did not kill the beetle. Yes I’ll wear shoes tomorrow. Your welcome for sharing my ugly bug face and dance with you. Very demure.
