Don't forget fantasynamegenerators. If you can't think of a name for someone, somewhere, or something, it probably has a generator for it

I use Azgaar's Fantasy Mapmaker to create the highest-level world maps and then use stuff like Inkarnate to create more localized versions

World anvil has gone downhill fast. I now prefer Obsidian for organizing my world building. Also Wonderdraft is a great alternative for Inkarnate (haven't used Inkarnate so idk how they compare tho)

I like Wonderdraft and Dungeondraft, personally. Inkarnate does do better city maps out of the box, though.

world anvil free version does not allow infinite entries so if you got a large scale project either pay or switch. I recommend lore forge
