It’s been an overcast and windy sort of day here in Melbourne, so thought I’d share this fun little video from last year where we got our first ever blueberry harvest 🫐 with the help of cheeky Remy 🐶 who loves blueberries just as much as we do! This harvest was off two plants, both early fruiting varieties (blueberry ‘burst’ & ‘kisses’) and both grown in 50L pots. They’re beautiful evergreen compact varieties and perfect for smaller gardens. We ended up getting a few more bowls as the weeks went by and I’ve since become crazy blueberry lady and added another 4 plants the collection 😆 These newer plants are still small so I’m not expecting much from them this year. They’re mid season fruiting varieties so it’ll help extend our blueberry season and allow us to keep harvesting blueberries for longer throughout the season 💙 If you’re looking to add blueberries (or any fruiting plants) to your garden, it can be helpful to consider when they fruit (early,mid,late). This can help you choose the right varieties for your garden.
