An experienced eye would see that the ball was dislodged by Barret and the rule is clear on that one. If he hadn't given the try to Bongi. It was going to be a penalty try and yellow against Barret.

I believe that first try was a knock on. would it have mattered at the end? I don't think so. S.A would've found a way to come back coz that's what they do. I'm a AB fan and always will be but SA..

In regards to the knock-on try: I think 90% of the time, it would be called knock on and try disallowed. There’s probably lots of existing footage where that’s been the case. Is it technically right?

I don’t like blaming refs for game outcomes but in my opinion this one was just bad for both sides… I don’t think the TMO was used once … I don’t think there was any favouritism to any side …

Our I'll disciplinen and woeful kicking game cost us. Their backs weren't that great either. Cane and TJ need to be dropped. Also their bomb squad are overrated but are in our heads for some reason.

When you see the standard and physicality of this game, it's amazing how Ireland can last it shows how much structure and discipline they have. They are nowhere near this physical and skill level

we want to think about it cos most of that match we were on top and we had them under alot of pressure so I can see us beating them very very soon,sa should have won that by 20 with that crowd

This was an awesome AB/Springbok game! The AB looked good but discipline let them down. Also teams need to learn that the Springboks play 80 minutes and that is why they win. They never give up.

Try was legal, as per WR rule 11.5 (b) The ball is not knocked-on, & play continues, if: b) A player rips or knocks the ball from an opponent and the ball goes forward from the opponent's hand or arm.

Boks can be much better. ABs? A try each controversial, tech can sort out 100%. Use it! Bongi's technically not a knock on, Barret in tackle knocked down, still a try if downward pressure.

Apparently in international rugby rules according to the flow chart if the ball falls straight down as with Mbonambi's try it's not a knock-on, but the ref should've made it more clear to the audience
