@love2hvac: It's easy for us to create habits. we do _x_ and we get _y_ results, off to the next call. Many times we are just treating the symptoms instead of the root cause. My Friend @Chris Stephens often talks about big picture diagnostics. I think that is so important to look at more than just what gets it "blowing cold". We can see some of the things we do have bigger consequences. In heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration there is always something new to learn. let's learn something new every day! #hvac #hvacrepair #hvacr #love2hvac
It’s basically the difference between a technician and a mechanic. Technicians understand all the technical aspects of the trade, where a mechanic is a parts changer.

So true..every action gets a reaction. Retro-commissioning we catch things all the time. Problem solving is a skill set for the large facilities. Hospitals, High Rises, etc.

People tend to get stuck in just diagnosing units .. there is so much out there . That’s why I decided to get more into the root causes not just get the system up and running . Awesome video 👏

I see so many techs rush and have numerous recalls. slow down and you'll see the bigger picture. different problems can have a similar or same diagnosis
