@eliseugc: another squad cosmetics product review ✨ here we have the squad syrup glow, a melting lip glow which aims to provide a touch of color with an added glow to the lips. it does exactly what it says on the tin but i can’t really agree with the “melting” part of the product—having tried dasique’s melting candy balm, this product simply isn’t melty enough for me at all. sure, it melts a little bit when you warm it up but it’s still veers into being a solid stick of balm for me, just in a click-based packaging similar to that of melting balms like the aforementioned dasique and nature republic’s melting lip glow (although i haven’t tried nature republic’s version so i can’t comment on their formula). the clear orange packaging is really cute, and i actually quite like seeing the innards of the component—it brings a certain charm that’s similar to the appeal of clear game controllers and consoles. i do feel that the printed text will rub off after a while, but hey, at least the font’s cute (i am not yet over this rebranding 😅). the shade sugar maple is a sheer red brown, and while it looks pretty deep in the packaging it’s incredibly sheer in real life. on my lips i only saw the faintest hint of color so don’t expect a lot of pigment because it’s just doing what it’s supposed to. when you need to dispense more product, make sure to only click a few times because there’s no way to return the product back into the tube once it’s out. even if you end up with some excess (like i did to see how melty it is), it’s not going to be messy when you put the cap back on thanks to the solid formula. still, i wouldn’t advise clicking out every bit of product. 😅 it doesn’t really state how many grams of product are in the package, but given the price point i can’t really complain. it’s pretty much a very sheer lip balm that’s really glossy but like i said, don’t expect this to melt on your lips. if you’re buying multiple shades, just be warned that these don’t have the names printed on the compontent so it could take a bit more effort to pick out the color you want. i do taste a little bit of the soapy flavor that the lip drip has when i use it but it's a lot milder on this product. other than that, if all this sounds like your thing then by all means get it—it’s a nice local lip balm to add to your collection. 🧡 #squadcosmetics #squadsyrupglow #squadmeltinglipglow #squadcosmeticssyrupglow #squadcosmeticsmeltinglipglow #squadsugarmaple #sugarmaplesyrupglow #squadlipglow #lipbalm #lipglow
