The trick would be to start it in the correct way behind your head, then pull forward and flip so that the braid wouldn't have the bump.

I love this! When I do that braid forward and then pull it/flip it to lay flat on my head, the base of the braid (at the root) is always a hot mess. No matter how many times I try.

I tried a tutorial like this once and I ended up having to cut some of my hair because I couldn't untangle it😅😂😂

Cool if you have straight hair with no frizz. 😬 but if you a frizzy girl doesn't hurt to start learning French or Dutch braids it helps maintain the mane. 😅 I learned by practicing on my own hair.
