There shouldn't be personal phones during school hours. Period. There should be a phone in every class for emergency. "emergencies" happened before the cell phone became normal.

They need to follow emergency procedures first and foremost. A child panicking about a phone can interfere with safety.

I so don’t get it. When I was in highschool I had my phone, but you could only get service in the center of the gym. Was I supposed to leave the locked classroom, and go to the gym to call my mom😂?
