I know this doesn’t change the formula but anytime I put on too light of a shade it looks way more terrible than if it were the right shade or even a darker shade, may have been teensie part of it?

Mine did the exact same thing!! I tried blending it with a brush and a sponge. I tried with and without primer. I tried right after skincare and then after waiting. All of it was terrible!!
