They let us tell the person who was saying the names how to say it. I went over it with them at least 8 times, even wrote how to pronounce it on a card. They STILL got it wrong.

My high school had the Valedictorian read the names since they knew 98% of the class. We also had pronunciation cards. The valedictorian was last, read by the principal.

My middle name is in Hawaiian and at my high school I went over it with the woman who was reading. She botched it. In college I was married and they got my middle name but botched my new last name. 😡
