My mom was a florist for a little bit and I knew this trick at age six. whenever anybody gets flowers on the one who puts them in the vase cuz they last longer when I do it

My grandma put her bunch of chrysanthemums in her bedroom once, which was nice and cool. They grew roots and lived for many weeks. Cut at an angle, remove all leaves (and thorns), use room temperature water, not cold.
