You got the bike, you need aero bars on it for optimal racing. Run shorter, do intervals, and bricks (bike run w/o’s in that order). Keep speed high on both, take ibuprofen for pain.

Also, for the marathon training…Sounds silly but JOIN A RUNNING CLUB. I tried for YEARS to train by myself for a marathon and could not get through it until I joined a running club. Game changer.

u need a 52cm. Use cycling shorts with chamois cream. Look for a aluminum road bike. They are cheap site try bikesdirect dot com till you can afford a better brand. Try to get at least a 2x10

FWIW even when I was super fit and racing pretty competitively I still couldn’t run more than a few miles without DYING lol. You can definitely train aerobic and anaerobic fitness on a bike but…

You can buy a Fuji bike any day of the week on Facebook marketplace. You don’t need disc brakes… buy a 2012 Cervelo and you’ll be happy AF

Nice job with the Fuji. See if you can have someone at a bike shop check it out for you, and give you an informal fitting to adjust everything right. Fit makes a WORLD of difference!
