@marnellcastro: I recently came across an old 2002 interview with the late Rico Yan and Jolina Magdangal on Coverstory that I felt compelled to share. In this touching interview, when Jolina asked Rico, “Gaano mo kamahal si Claudine?” Rico’s response was, “Hmm, parang ang hirap sagutin yon.” Jolina pressed further, and Rico simply said, “Gaano? Sobra!” To which Jolina commented on the difficulty of answering, and Rico affirmed, “Oo, dahil sobra.” This moment beautifully captures the profound love Rico had for Claudine Barretto. It’s a reminder of how deeply he felt and the kind of love many of us dream of finding. Although Rico is no longer with us, his memory lives on. He was truly a loving, humble, genuine, and sweet individual in the showbiz industry.
