I went to a Russell Group uni and have friends who were at non RGs. We used the exact same textbooks, some of our actual slides were the same too. This is such a funny take🤣

as you also applied this to a parent relationship i.e ur future child. would you apply this thinking to friendships? not befriending some1 because they went to a non rg uni e.g. st andrew’s… do they also not understand the importance of trying your best, or value or know what it means to work hard?

hmmm this is getting a little classist. some ppl simply do not have access to such levels of education yet still perform well. while on the other hand, some russell group graduates have nothing (1/2)

I’m more interested in my partner going to university, his career and earning potential. Russel group or not as long as you went to uni and have a very well paid job it’s good for me 🔥

Yes education is important if it is something you truly value.But in terms of class and upwards mobility is such a complex topic because there is no clear indication or a good example of it.
