So I checked out Pokey Okey. They’re located in Richmond right across from Richmond Center. Pokey Okey is part of the newest Japanese Food Hall that opened up in Richmond recently. No surprise that they specialize in Poké and the food was pretty decent! I went with the yellow bowl that had spicy salmon, scallops, corn, pineapples and some other toppings. While I really enjoyed the combination of flavors, the rice unfortunately wasn’t great. I will say that I got there immediately after opening and they were still setting up shop but it just felt like the rice was a bit stale. Otherwise, I think the toppings worked well together and were good. Based on the price and my first time experience, I’d give them another shot but currently, I don’t know if I could say they’re in my list of Poké places I’d frequent.
