The central heating ones I’ve fitted have bladders….. the bladder isn’t for potable water it makes it taste, thats the only difference I know of….you can buy just the bladders. 👍🏻

So would there be any issue with using a potable vessel on the heating system? Just not the other way around?

so how many of you know this, it is not air, but nitrogen, it does not expand like air, else it would not work, 0,5 bar for attick, 1/1,5 bar on ground

Chris Franklin :
I’d say no, it works exactly like an expansion vessel.

That’s the only way I can tell if there’s a hole in the bag if I tap on the vessel and it sounds full of water 😂

Easy & the vessel should be charged with nitrogen a dry gas to prevent corrosion 👍

if you find the type with the ring in the middle, where the rubber is, cut it open, the rubber is a perfect flexi basket to catch water in tight spaces.

If you put the central heating one on, like a plumber did for someone I know, they rust and blow quickly! There house insurance took him to court and won 60000 in damages. So worth keeping in mind.
