depends on how well you've trained them, bandog, jrt and lurcher. my lurcher eats next to the water bowls and they can drink whilst he eats no problems 🤷

I have a rottie and a red Lab and they aren't food aggressive they get fed together and then pick out each other bowls, though the rottie won't let the chickens share hers and tge red Lab does.

Mate feed the dog any time of day, they burn more energy than we do, I’ve got a shepherd she is so good and listens to anything me or my family say, set times for dogs isn’t good unless there working

This is perfectly fine they are all a pack and resource guarding is a very important role in that and establishing order it may look scary but it is a normal behaviour and healthy
