@lead.tz: This is how we are restoring millions of trees without planting a single one 🌿💥 There are millions of living tree stumps in the ground that wait to be brought back to life. The technique for reviving them is called Kisiki Hai and it's that easy: After the original tree has been cut down, many stems will grow from the remaining tree stump. By cutting away weaker stems and leaving a few strong ones, we reduce food competition and speed up the growth of the selected stems. Marking the tree makes it visible to anyone passing by that this tree has value and shouldn't be cut down but should be protected until it has grown into a big tree again. With Kisiki Hai, cut-down trees are not lost forever but restored to serve people and the planet!
