I see the vet push these on people who can't afford to pay cash up front for their visit. they sign you up right there in the office

Got care credit, paid it off during the interest free period. 2 year zero bal. The contacted me and told me to use my card or they were canceling it. Asked why, they weren't making money on me 😏

It's the deferred interest trap, if it's not paid by the end of the promo period interest is on the original amount.

I just noticed they were applying payments to lower balance promotions so that they could charge me interest on the higher amounts. 🙃

I'm more concerned about them suddenly reducing your credit line maxing you out.

$2,250 emergency vet bill for my cat. Without Care Credit, I wouldn't have been able to care for my cat. Debts all paid off now.

My Care Credit card was the only way I could afford expensive dental work and also many of my elderly dogs vet procedures. So long as you know the terms of the interest free period, it’s a great…

My dog had surgery so we had two transactions. $1800 for pre surgery work up that had six month promo and 5k surgery with fixed interest until paid off. They’ve been applying all my payments 1/2

The dentist is the worst! I’m sure I didn’t “need” the 4000 worth of work they said I needed by my tooth hurt so bad I was in tears everyday so yup

We have a year to pay the $700 charge with no interest for a stray kitten we found on the highway. Pay the balance before the promo ends 🤷🏻♀️

Aspen dental told me with a straight face that an 8k care credit card at 25% interest was no big deal.

Used care credit for my dog in a tight situation. I paid it off in less than 1.5 years. They closed my account immediately and my credit score went down 🫠

They also happen to be who financed my home’s insanely expensive boiler. For heating my home. An essential service.

I got a care credit card when my elderly cat had fluid in her lungs and we got it removed. She racked up a 2,000 bill before we ultimately had to say good bye...I just took our a personal loan with 6%

I’ve had CareCredit for years!! The interest rates are so high and yes. I’ve had to use it for my dogs throughout the years. And they only offer now only a 6 month payoff period. What can I do in NV.
