@bbc: What colour is radiation? ☢️ QI: Sandi Toksvig, Alan Davies and a host of comedy stars swap funny facts on every subject under the sun. It doesn't matter if they're right, as long as they're quite interesting. #QI #AlanDavies #SandiToksvig #QIMemes #FunFacts #Funny #iPlayer
Technically radiation is all colours because light is a form of radiation. Just cause cherenkov radiation looks blue doesn't mean it is blue either, just that it excited the blue cone in the eye.

isnt all visible light a form of electromagnetic radiation?

All, the answer is that all colour is radiation. Light is electromagnetic radiation.

My guess is either “no color” if not a photon, or “any color” if it is.

For yall who haven’t done physics, radiation is completely invisible, the emitted particles/waves are too small to be seen, and nuclear waste does not emit anything visible on its own. (Doesn’t glow)

radiation is all colors, at the same time none, as light only gets it's color once perceived by a brain. except alpha and beta radiation, idk what color helium and electrons have.

I assumed it was depicted as green because of the radium paint used in old clocks and stuff that was found to be radioactive

The Simpsons says it’s Green and that’s what I’m sticking with 😅

All colours are radiation but if you mean ☢️then some super ultra mega violet I guess

Depends on the wavelength 🙄

it's blue because it interacts with matter which emits blue. radiation is both colourless and colourful, it might actually be pure white

all the colors and none of the colors

Atomic :
it actually isn't blue, that's just it blue shifting (i think that's the term) as it breaks the speed of light as in water, light travels slower than over radiations, so it still has no colour

the technical answer is all of them. there are the other obvious ones like ultra violet and Infrared which are 'invisible' to the human eye.
