I work in higher education. I applied at my Alma mater and didn’t hear from them for months and the only reason i did hear back is because i kept calling HR after 2 months

Applied to thousands over the last couple months -actual thousands of jobs- and it’s led to maybe 20-30 total interviews. Companies want databases and information, they don’t want to hire.
