I’m definitely isolating. It feels safer. People don’t love and respect, or are thoughtful or do friendship on my level and I refuse to give more than I receive, or stoop to their diminished standards just to match them. For what? They’re not elevating themselves to match mine.

You are right! Just came out of isolation. Applied & avoided the hurt early by new boundaries and not ignoring red flags. Turned out he was married. Going back to isolation but it was a good exercise

Although I’m lonely, would rather be alone than to be hurt, cheated on, lied to or betrayed. I experienced all of these on my job, in my family, with so called friends and in my church.
