@aiyanadesnomie: This was such a beautiful special to dance in. I’ve been truly blessed this summer. I often think of that Kevin Tacan post about those songs that people look for every weekend and that post resonated with me. everywhere I have travelled within this passed month I’ve gotten to dance to songs that bring so much to the circle. I’ve been able to sit there and listen and soak up the words people have been saying. I’ve been able to stand and dance to songs that carry and bring joy. At Kehewin I heard this elder speak and she was saying how when you’re told things, you hold and walk with that for the rest of your life. From that point on which you learn it, you begin to live it and now it’s up to you to continuously walk with it in a good way because creator is always watching. I cried hearing my uncle, Jackson Rollingthunder Tahuka speak over people for their specials because he speaks with so much conviction and heart. You feel the shift in energy because what he speaks of, is true. Everywhere that I’ve been traveling, people come and bring so much energy and goodness to each individual circle and I’ve been able to feel it in each community I’ve went to. These songs do so much for everybody & I felt that when I was dancing in this special for their late relative. This final song speaks of their relative & it was such a beautiful. It carries so much and it carried me! I’m grateful for where dancing has been able to bring me, the songs I’ve been able to dance to, and the feelings that I’ve been able to feel. 🫶🤍
