I fixed a couple Fords in a couple Chevrolets where they had cracked like at in them. I just took a torch up and heated it and got some cast-iron welding rods and welded them and re-ground it 💯💯

I think you need some stitching to hold the crack from expanding.

We used to do repairs just like that in Dodgers the only thing different that we didn’t see you do was maybe putting sealer on the repair pins when we installed them

I worked in commercial aviation for 30 years. Unfortunately, I don’t think that’s gonna last without some sort of weld repair. The constant heat cycles is going to pull that apart.

Hey guys, looks good. The lock n stitch is really a good repair. You guys did a great job. I wouldn’t worry at all. I would feel very confident in it. Good job.

I've actually attempted this same repair, but unfortunately the crack ran so deep into the port I was unable to get to the end of it. if you can get the end of the crack the repair should be good.

I did my Desoto hemi head that was cracked from the the exhaust seat to the intake and down into the bowl. After stitching it worked fine. I think yours will too. I would also use the Goodson sealant

I work at a machine shop for 8 years and did several repairs exactly like that and never had an engine come back for any warranty work. Only difference is the type of sealant. We used JB weld.
