Germany also have extensive training before you get your licence. Something USA and Canada should be doing!!! Training people properly and understanding the rules of the road.

In Australia, the solid lines are usually covered in rumble strips (makes loud noise when you drive on it to try and wake you up if you fall asleep at the wheel) so I don’t know if it would work here
