im an 80s kid. we dressed up, hair, make up every day. my daughter is a millennial and they would go to school in their pj's & hair a mess. 🤦♀️

My daughter just started middle school. I’m adjusting to seeing shorts not covering butts and crop tops 😭 I will say girls are sure going right past the awkward stage and right to beautiful

Same age as you & VERY similar 8th grade pic! I think makeup in general was just different then. Makeup was used more by “a specific group/identify” for expression, not for a “basic look”.

Awww you were and are gorgeous! I love how much they can vary from group to group to school to school to region to region. My 8th grader loves makeup and rarely wears it.
