Yes but creatives often need the studio spaces with the professional equipment to learn said skills, and they need the benefit of critiques from an expert. How would they go about that independently?

What they need to think about isn’t the entry level job it’s the job they will be promoted into. Marketing Manager, Director… and those jobs want degrees.

Depends, if they want an long term career, art school. A-list art schools feed right into major agencies. Much like business schools. If not art as a career, it's a rough road to just be an artist.
