@axeandroothomestead: Apple season is also elderberry season. I have roughly 25 bushes here at the homestead and they are producing SO MUCH fruit this year. I grow Pocahontas, Ranch, and Adam’s II varieties. They make an incredible understory shrub in food forests and I use the fruit for medicinal elderberry syrup. You can find that recipe here on my feed. 😉 Elderberries are incredibly easy to propagate and, since they’re native, have little issue thriving in many growing climates. If you’re interested, I sell cuttings on my website, though it’s best to wait until spring to plant out. 🌿 You can find the propagation video on my YouTube channel.
