When I first started my journey back in September 2021, I was not counting calories and was afraid of going to the gym, I decided to try a bunch of different weight loss methods such as juicing, fasting, vegan, vegan keto & one meal a day, I managed to lose 10kg over a period of around 4-5 months, I finally accepted that the “quick fix” diets were not realistic or practical whatsoever, I always ignored when people told me “you need to be in a deficit” until finally, early feb of 2022, I decided to start counting my calories, maintain a weightloss deficit and finally join the gym, i also decided to start filming my journey to hold me accountable, I joined F45 and aimed to go 3-5 days per week, 8 I maintained a calorie deficit of around 1500-1700 per day. I started to see results immediately, the gym changed me mentally and physically, maintaining a calorie deficit and a balanced diet has resulted in a lifestyle, I never restricted, ever. If I felt like something, I’d have a small amount and I’d move on and kept going, I’m so proud of myself beyond words, i still have around 20kg to reach my goal weight, so let’s do this, if you’ve started your journey, keep going, if you want to start, I encourage you to start!
