@alyssadelrizz: Real talk for a minute here. If you told me at that time I would be where I am today I would've laughed in your face. At one point, I didn't want to be here at all. I remember the letters I wrote being handed back to me when I left the hospital and instantly feeling guilt, then relief. I couldn't bear to imagine my little sister reading them. What I didn't realise at the time was that if there are letters to write, there are reasons to stay. If you're feeling lost, stuck and feel as if there is no other way out - there always is. There's a reason you woke up today. You are enough. I see you, I hear you. I love you. Remember it's okay not to be okay, but don't suffer in silence. I felt embarrassed for feeling this way and tried to ignore and hide it all but I realise now there's actually no greater strength than asking for help. Talk to someone, don't be afraid to ask for help. I know I wouldn't be where I am now if it weren't for the people in my life. It's not always going to be sunshine and rainbows, I still have my bad days but being open and candid with how I'm feeling to those in my life has been the biggest weight off my shoulders. Check up on your loved ones, especially the 'happy', 'bubbly' ones - they can be good at hiding it. I know I was. #awareness 🤍
